Hi there I'm just wondering if &quotessiment" is a word, i think it's derived from the word pessimism but i can't find pessiment anywhere so can someone give me a definition of this word.

From what I could find it appears to be a misspelling of &quotessimist". I was unable to find any place were it is actually used and defined as is.

No, frankly I don't think there is a word &quotessiment".
There is pessimist, pessimistic and pessimistically, but no &quotessiment".

Yep, Zoph and goumas are correct. A far-reaching search of the internet has verified that &quotessiment" is not a word. It is a common misspelling of &quotessimist", probably because many people spell by pronunciation and mispronounce &quotessimist".

I think this sufficiently answers the question. If not let me know on my profile and I'll re-open this for discussion, but I don't see any point in leaving this open for everyone and their brother to repeat what's already been said.
