A lot of users have been curious as to what tools the Mods have and what extra abilities the mods have over the regular users. A lot of users are especially curious about what the Mods see when they log into the site and what the extra forum tools they have look like.

Well I recently came across these screen shots that give the regular users a rare glimpse into the world of the Mods.

This is the banhammer that mods drop when they ban a user. I wouldn't want to mess with that. It's always smart to stay within the Rules & Guidelines when posting on the forums.

Nothing escapes the long arm of the spamhammer. If you're thinking about spamming to gain more Armor Points think twice, the mods can remove spam posts with ease, thanks to the spamhammer. Also read the other Rules and Guidelines.

Now I wasn't quiet sure what this was when I first came across it, but apparently the mods are granted one super power that they can enable and disable.

The mods get Heat Vision!

I wasn't sure what this button did at firs, but after a little research I found out what it's for. Apparently, when the mods get overwhelmed with spam posts, trolls, user on user conflicts and questions about how to get merits, they can let of a little steam and press the heat vision button.
Once pressed a beam of heat energy so powerful, it could cook the world's entire supply of Hot Pockets in under one second, is shot out of the moderator's eyes into their computer, completely destroying it and any frustration the mod may have had from the forums that day. It gets expensive, if the mods use it a lot they have to buy a lot of computers.

That was the last screenshot I came across. Interesting screenshots though.

The Heat Vision use is most likely to burn up the trolls and spammers. Either that or it's used to cook food, especially when it's cold.

Very nice artwork reton, was almost fooled by how well it blended in and fit in with the background.

Banhammer is awesome, so is the heat vision and the mod super power thing. But what do mods acctually see?

Thanks! And yes, they are fake. I used GIMP.
The idea kind of spawned when, I think, Freakenstein (or someone) said, "It would be cool if the Mods really had a button that said banhammer." (I can't find that post though.)


My favourite is the mod superpower dropbox. The buttons weren't conveniently placed.


Yeah, the buttons were original going to be regular size, but unfortunately that was too small for the hammer to be noticable. So, I made them extra big, they look more interesting, but are placed in weird spots lol.

Anyway I was wondering how many people you thought you'd trick with the nice artwork.


I don't know. The idea was to go for something that seemed plausible but was just a bit too ridiculous so you would know it's not real.

Reton8 has too much time on his hands. ;o)

They cannot. It's information they are obliged to keep under wraps. Walker told me.
