After Saturn Closing from not much money to take care of there business, companies around the world have been terrified that this might happen to them. This almost happened to:
APPLE
JELL-O
BILL JACKSON
MATRESS FIRM
WENDYS
DUNKIN' DONUTS
etc.

Those companies were smart enough the make new products that the world hasn't seen (some probally seen). This is the thread to talk about the Saturn Company Disaster.

This is old news my friend. GM announced awhile ago that they were discontinuing Saturn, Pontiac, Saab, and Hummer (the later two wound up being sold instead). There were rumors at one time that famous racing-team owner Roger Penske would buy Saturn, but the deal feel through, and thus Saturn died.
Saturn's cars were never really all that great. They made cars that seemed like the average everyday car. Toward the end, they brought over cars from GM's european brand Opel and sold them under the Saturn mark. However, it was too little, too late for them. Saturn really never achieved much in their existence.

Hey! Not fair. I own a Saturn and it's actually a really good car, especially given the cost. However I agree that the brand was simply not profitable enough for GM to sustain given their other financial issues. This is actually a rather common turn of events in the case of a major brand which produces and markets numerous sub-brands. In times of financial hardship it is often the most beneficial decision to discontinue the lesser marketed brands and keep the most well known.

Some of the more well known car brands were discontinued as well. Pontiac had been around since 1926, and although there was a slump for a time, Pontiac was making a comeback in the time just before its end. They released plenty of good cars, my favorite being the solstice. I'm not really sure why that they decided to get rid of them over other brands before it.

Wait... I'm confused... if The Companies Close and sell there cars, can they get the money they need to get, or are the companies closed already? I'm Confused.

Once the brand gets discontinued, they stop selling cars to the dealers, so no more money comes into the company from that brand. All money for those remaining cars that made it to dealers before the discountinuement goes to the dealer.
