For me cats all the way. I don't own a cat, i own a dog. I really can't cause there is a allergy that causes swelling throughout my family. But cats are lovable and loves your attention. They don't need that much exercise(gives you more time for other things.) and they're really awesome. I Personally love black cats. They don't have huge poop. But can make messes. They're easily entertained. So for me Cats all the way. You can't ever beat a Cat!
i like cats better but you really cant say which animal is better. they all have their own advatages and disadvatages. cats are more agile can climb etc. while a dog wouldobviously win in a straight race. when it comes to pure strength most chances a dog would win but cats also use claws and not only fangs so they have a larger range and better control. they can also move better in situations like that. many people say that dogs are smarter and their explanation is that they can be trained easily to obey BUT cats are also trainable. i guess dogs are more easy to train but think about it. is someone that does everything he is told to really that smart. also cats can survive without any problems on their own on the streets and can get to many different places. i remember watching a show that checked which animal was smarter and the cat won while the dog lost in a pretty pathetic way. i love dogs but i like cats better and in my opinion the animal that can survive is the best so i say cats. sorry dog lovers i love dogs too XD (lol i was probably taking this thread too seriouslyXD)
I don't think that is true. Have you forgotten that a cheetah is a cat. And normal cats in my opinion are faster than dogs from what I've seen in real life and on the internet.
Dogs are bigger and stronger than cats though. Well most dogs are. Not those little wimpy dogs. For example Chihuahuas, poodles etc...
I think that cats are more independent then dogs though. Seeing that my cat when I had it didn't really need me unless it was for food or water. I would let it outside to go anywhere and it would always come back. The dog though needs everything. You need to potty train it. Teach it not to use the house as a bathroom. If I were to let my dog outside it would probably run and not come back. To me cats are way smarter. I've seen the cat do way smarter things then the dog. The dog would basically try to eat wood, metal, or a plastic bottle and the dog drinks out the toliet sometimes. My cat has never done anything that stupid before.
Im a dog person, yes a dog person. I just hate cats plus im allergic to them. Dogs always love attention and pay back with obedience and love, while cats dont give a ........ Anyway, This is just my opinion.
your opnion is ok but the facts are not true. if youd seen how my cat loves attention youd change your mind XD. and cats do give you love AND obedience. they listen to you when you are angry at them etc. but they wont follow supid orders like sit or roll. and really every animal has its own personality just like humans. so when it comes to loyalty, love and other things like that you should talk about any animal individually. oh and matrix... i thought he meant like normal cats. you know what i mean right? i mean with dogs he could have meant wolves too right? i was more speaking about house animals

I'm pretty sure he meant house animals but between the cat family and dog family the cheetah is the fastest. Cheetah's can run about 70mph and that's the fastest.

lol dont worry i know cheetahs are the fastest. you also have to remember they have to hunt to. OMG could you imagine how fast cats and dogs were if they had to hunt just like the wild ones. lol it would be rather scary to leave the house XD
For me, the dog is better, but everyone has his likes, so I do not think that if 10 000 people say the dog or cat are better does it mean that is true. ^-^ sorry for my english.

Well, your cat does. My cat sits and scowls at me all day. Both my cat and dog show similar levels of intelligence but I prefer my dog because she actually pays attention to me and it's clear she understands me. My cat just doesn't understand >.<
and that is why i said you mostly have to refer to each animal individually. i didnt mean dogs and cats. i meant a single cat or dog. individual animals have different personalities just like humans
