For me cats all the way. I don't own a cat, i own a dog. I really can't cause there is a allergy that causes swelling throughout my family. But cats are lovable and loves your attention. They don't need that much exercise(gives you more time for other things.) and they're really awesome. I Personally love black cats. They don't have huge poop. But can make messes. They're easily entertained. So for me Cats all the way. You can't ever beat a Cat!

I used to be more of a dog person, but more recently I've been leaning towards cats. Can't make up my mind.

Though for sure, I'll be getting a dog. I get to play with one more.

If you compare the household cat to the household dog, I prefer a dog. I just think they suit me better. They're more energetic and not as lazy, like most cats.

If it came down to the big cats, cheetahs, tigers, lions, etc., I would choose cats over dogs. I think African cats are amazing animals. Fast and agile, but deadly and aggressive at the same time.

For personal preferences, it is dogs. They can read your emotions, and understand them. Over thousands of years, the domestic dog has learned to automatically look to the left side of a person face to read expression (as humans do with each other) it does this for no other animal. Dogs are known to have the ability of befriending with most other mammals including: bears, elephants, orangutans, foxes, dingoes and probably one or two more. They love their family way more than a cat could because of their natural pack mentality though they can be very independent as well. Dogs have saved countless lives working for rescue services, the police or with families.

So yeah, dogs.

I dont have a dog, but i have a cat. i think it depends on the person, because cats do not require to be walked all the time, while dogs do. but you cant play frisbee with a cat, or make them do tricks (unless you are really good). but cats are cuddly and jump really high, and are fast!

wait, is this about how good a pet they are or just in general? o_o lol
i'd say cats. (i love cheetahs[fast] and leapords[idk] :3 )

That is a very good point Efan. I never though of that...

Yep. This thread is fully based on opinions. It's just basically saying which do you think is better... it doesn't really specify.

I love cats so much. They've got their own mind and personality and they really don't care what you think at all.

I do like dogs too though. I'm one of those people who will have both and I'm not 100% in the favour of either

Plus, here's a question; which list would hyenas go in?

Dogs, hands down. Because its hard to argue with Fluffy:

But in all seriousness, I would have to say dogs. I currently own both, and my dog really doesn't care too much. Its happy all the time. My cat, on the other hand, gets depressed if it rains, if its sunny, or If I show up. So going on that, I'm saying dogs.

Convergent evolution... Hmm.. It's very interesting how unrelated species can acquire similar traits.
