We don't know if stem cells really work, but from the research that i've seen. There is a significant amount of positives to negatives from what stem cells do.
In my opinion, stem cells do everything. Just the 'church' is stopping us from developing it more.

What are your opinions about it?

Well, honestly I don't see anything wrong with it. I understand the point of view from the religious people though.

Instead of viewing it as the "church" keeping you form doing this, view it as a large amount of people wtih similar belifes.

I guess you're right.

I do believe the lives of the few will never outweigh the greater good. While everyone is entitled to a right to live, I believe in unsavable conditions, stem cells can be put to very good use.

I Am Legend will happen all over again. Except this is a cure for HIV and that was caused by a cure for Cancer.

Of coarse, I got overboard. Anyway,(back on topic) This will be a great thing but will be horrendous if it backfires. I ,for one, will not support it because it does not seem morally correct to me. Its my opinion so its not universal.

I'm thinking this belongs in the WEPR section, but anyways...

Even though I'm Christian, I kind of agree with this. There are so many people with HIV around the world that there needs to be a cure of some kind. If this is the only way, then use it, or else many will die from the ongoing battle with it.

Sadly, that brings up the question that should you kill 10 people to save millions later? Well, we don't know if stem cells really work, but from the research, I think there is a significant amount of positives to negatives from what stem cells do.

Just the 'church' is stopping us from developing it more.

There are more people that don't want this than just "the church".

You're saying that you would not be born to do this?

There are more pros than cons to stem cells.

It makes abortion a more favorable option for an unwanted pregnancy, as the fetus will go to a good cause.

Here's a link for you and anyone else who may not know about stem cells. NIH Website... Information On Stem Cells

I don't know about all the politics about stem cells, but from what I've been reading, it seems like a very beneficial program.

Well, this is not a for sure 'cured' situation. It was an isolated experiment they did with one man who had leukemia and AIDS. There is at least a 30% death rate for this type of procedure, with a lot of 'ifs' and 'buts.' It is certainly a great step TOWARDS eliminating this T-cell virus, but it is not the miracle cure the headlines like to tell you.
