I'm still baffled by the situation I'm in. Living in Quebec, I experience stupidity on a daily basis. The thing is; I'm paying for it in my French classes.

In my opinion there's nothing more frustrating than having your techer tell you; ''Well, I wanted to make you read - Insert bad-*** book name here - , but since your results are so bad, we'll read - insert utterly crappy book name here - for the session''.

So my question is; what would you want people to read? which books do you believe are worth reading?

My choice would be Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse.

My choice would be the Nine Tomorrows by Isaac Asimov or The Last Lion by Winston Spencer Churchill.

As of yet, the only Asimov book I've read is I, robot but I quite enjoyed it. On another note; I just finished George Orwell's animal farm, and I must say it was a pretty nice read; a little shocking but even so; certainly worth the hour and a half.

The Art of War by Sun Tzu. Honestly could reread it 20 times and still not fully capture the essence and genius of his teachings. One of the few books I have truly felt I have learned and gained something from reading.

Honestly, anything from the Romantic/Victorian era. I find that we're losing our English to text speak, and some of the best plots and verbosity has been written during those periods
