Since I've been bugging cormyn a lot lately with several topics and he will probably be the one to attend to this one too, but I felt like making a topic about it in the S&S forum just to see whether other users have experienced the same glitch I've been having...
The re-accuring glitch for me is quite simple... normally a notification email is send to a user every time he receives a comment on his profile, but in my case it's pretty much chaos allover... - I get emails for comments that have been made half a day ago; - I get emails for non-existing comments and - sometimes I get 1 email and it turns out I have 4 comments, meaning I have missed 3 emails...
I've already checked if they are redirected to my spam folder (which they aren't) and I checked whether I get emails for comments that have been deleted by a user right after making them, which wasn't the case either...
Maybe somethings wrong with the AG email notification system?
I have to stress here, that it's not a huge issue for me at all, it's merely a minor glitch I keep noticing... I only want to bring this to everyones attention and -in the process- find out whether other users have experienced this to!
Sounds like a problem with our hosting provider's Email system. Did any of the "missing" messages end up in your spam folder at all? Also, if you're a yahoo.com address, they like to block us for whatever reason(s) so they may get delayed. Might have also been a general Internet routing issue where they got stuck in limbo from time to time. It happens...
