a couple of weeks ago i noticed that my girlfriend looked kinda sad, i went up to her and asked her what was wrong, and she said nothings wrong, theres just nothing to smile about.

Which leads me to the question: Is there nothing to smile about or nothing to frown about? All opinions welcome

an optimistic pessimist.

Basically the same with me. Sometimes I'm an optimistic and sometimes I'm pessimistic. It all depends on the situation.

its true it depends on the situation. i know how your gf feels so its a really bad feeling. but its easy to make it better. if thats really why she is sad then just spend some time with her doing something. in this situation anything can help to make her smile.

I'm one of those people who don't have the pessimist 'gene' no matter how hard I try. Which gets people annoyed sometimes

Normally, if everyone is happy about something, I try to make them not happy about it. I guess that makes me a pessimist, but I don't care. If the glass was half empty, but filled with battery acid, who would have wanted to drink it in the first place?

I am pessimistically optimistic. I try to harden others resolve, by questioning their deeply held beliefs and ideals. Sure it piss off 99% of the people i talk to, however I would rather them leave angry at me then depressed.

More of a optimist really.
However, I feel 'realist', which has been mentioned before, better fits me.

I best like the combination of both, which as we all know creates the wonderful thing we call sarcasm

Lol, typical girl attitude.
I don't why most of the girls tend to be sad for more or less nothing, rather than happy; I'm optimistic even in the harshest of times, whereas my girlfriend just frowns and gets angry for nothing. I think it results from being more materialistic; every frugal person will be happy with few because they don't expect much from life in general.

I'm an optimistic pessimist. That glass is a quarter full and three quarters empty if that makes any sense.
I'm happy but I found myself more sad and bored. I'm also sarcastic. So I guess I'm a sarcastic optimistic pessimist. I'm also realistic. So I'm a realistic sarcastic optimistic pessimist or I'm I just a sarcastic realist. I'm confused. I think I have I headache. Wait I have a headache.
