Joker doesn't count he's a spin off from T.V. he means GAME characters which means that they were originally from a game not T.V. or a movie. Bowser FTW!!!!
The problem is that they can never make a real villian...I have to say, Loghain from Dragon Age: Origins really was a compelling villian, as you first believe he abandons Cainlin to save his own skin, but then you see his intentions were to save the whole kingdom, and that by seizing the throne he was doing so.
