Again I'd posit that it doesn't create imagination either. The developers use it to make it. But beyond that not particularly.

The term "brain-draining" can't be used. Though you can sure say that playing video games distracts one from studying more often.

In my opinion, games aren't braindrainers. Its just if you do it in excess. The games themselves, in essence, does not drain the brain. Perhaps what they meant was, people play too much games, they don't have time to study, and thus their brain is drained. I seriously think that games make you smarter. Think about it. Have you thought of why you can't memorize the whole history of US, but can pretty much commit to memory the story of games?

i think your wrong eirwen. when playin g a video game with a deep story you will always think what will happen and many other things about the story. video games are also a fruit of the developers imagination. they are the same as books really. the only difference is that in a book you also have to imagine how things look like. really playin a video game with no imagination is really boring and no one would play them if they had no imagination

maybe "braindrainers" is a little bit extrem but as you can see, it means a lot of things. some people posted everything whats included in this word i guess
