I just heard at news (I live in Finland time here is Gmt+2), that North Korea said, that they are ready to use nukes agains South Korea, and they (N.koreans) are threating S. Korea with a holy war.Whats your opinion about that? My opinion is that it was just a matter of time when they do, adn if they are crazy enough to fire nukes, well thats it all other fire as well and BANG! we have radiactive wasteland in a size of Earth.Im not going to bothered it more that usual (I`m usual worried at it), because I cant do anything.If it happens, then it happens, I die at 95% change if it happens.
I think if they show one single sign of attacking another nation besides south korea bomb north korea (not with nuclear weapons) until they surrender.

To be realistic, North korea cant win.Really they dont have much allies, it doesnt (teoritacly) matter if they have some 10 nukes, Usa has 100 times more!so if rally tehy start a war, they get bommed into stone age :P
Your forgetting North Korea is allied with China. If we piss off China, our economy will fall apart because every thing here in the United States has a label on the back saying "Made In China". That and China has a major Nuclear program going on, well at least I think =P
Yep, but China wouldn't endanger its economy to justify any hostility shown by its eastern neighbour towards another nation. It would take the stance of a mediator rather than side with North Korea.
Lightcrux said it in one, China relies on the US and its' allies just as much as we rely on them. N. Korea has the support of China at the moment, the launch of a nuclear weapon will quickly result in a weakening of those bonds, unless the Chinese government is foolish enough to believe that they have the ability to conquer the majority of the world.
That seems iffy at best, last time I checked the North Korean government was atheist, or at least neutral on the matter of religion.
In my opinion N.K. is just trying to attract attention, basically a "We finally managed to grow a pair, now be afraid!" kinda deal. It's going to be pretty humbling when the consider the majority of countries in the UN and/or EU can literally blow them of the face of the planet.
They are just trying to scare south Koreans and if they did nuke south korea they will start a war against one of the most powerful military in the world. The U.S.A, there are still troops in there to protect south korea from North korea. So f they hurt SK we will help them.
Just one nuke in New york would kill more people then the complete destruction of all North koreas major citys. North Kerea could have up to 9 nukes, one in seoul, one in tokyo and 7 in major citys in the USA could kill around 100m people. (more then ww1 and ww2)
I know that USA loses would be major, but as far as I know, USa has missile defense system and N.Korea dont/its not that good, so evently USA would win.
Simply put, the people of North Korea are starving. The Leadership of North Korea is changing heads from Kim Jong Il to Kim Jong Un. Kim Jong Un is simply showing off his 'authority' to the world as well as those generals around him. He needs to prove his might, case in point, shelling of South Korea. However, nukes are out of the question. If they were to come into play, it would give the United States the green-light to retaliate, which would mean other nations with possible motives to launch their nukes would also do so. End of story = nukes mean the total annihilation of the North.

let's be logical: most big (here i mean advanced countries) have nukes. N. Korea has nukes. if some other country decides to launch their nukes, what do you think N. Korea's instant reaction would be?
