oh and 1 more thing, it must be in sirvival mode, not creatve
The one I'm currently working on is more of a fort than a house. I've got part of the surrounding wall, and the building that covers my mine entrance. Still to build is a castle/keep, storage, farms, other random builds. It might even end up becoming a walled in city, but theres a slot of work left.
Okay guys, Iâll describe my two worlds. For the sake of clarity, Iâm going to separate them into two posts, and label them at the start as World A & World B. Some of this stuff seems ridiculous, but understand that for awhile, Mine Craft has been a hobby equivalent to building models or doing puzzles for me and my friends. Its all completely legit. No editing, modding, or hacking. I have been just slightly more ambitious and creative than the rest of my friends â" Though one of my friends is building a castle which is deep underground, at the center of a lava lake, with towers that ascend all the way to ground level. I came up with the concept for him, which is loosely based off of the Church of Saint George in Ethiopia.
This was all done with creepers ON.
P.S. Next project is a floating castle, most likely to be placed in world B, and it will hover over the water. Maybe waterfalls off the sides?
World A â" My first Mine Craft world. Quick facts: *5 rooms (154 blocks squared), plus outdoor cabin (25 blocks squared), spread across 4 floors (total height of 26). *Tower on top of cliff, accessed through house in the cliff (tallest structure in sight, overlooks everything nearby). * Wool and wood floors, stone stairs. *Escape tunnel. *Large castle on nearby hill (580 blocks squared), with garrison walls at a height of 8 blocks. *2 mines (1 active, 1 abandoned). *Everything connected by gravel paths.
Detailed description: The entire house is built into the side of a naturally generated cliff, with a nice waterfall outside. Image 1 It started as a cabin (5x5), built up against the cliff nearby the waterfall. I began hallowing out passages in the cliff (guess & checking my location inside the cliff), and then built rooms at the areas I had designated. After I had built this initial home in the cliff, which consisted of the entry room (the doorway 5 or 6 blocks under the crosshairs, slightly to the right), the upper room (the one with the large window), and a third room deeper into the cliff, I expanded it. I added another doorway (through the back of the cabin), which leads into a room which houses 5 furnaces), a room up and to the right of that which houses several storage chests and a couple more furnaces. This room and original entry room connect at the third room, and the third room leads up to the upper room. The upper room leads up to the top of the cliff, where I built a tower (height of 8). The tower overlooks everything nearby, being the tallest structure in sight. For resources, I created a mine (used for stone, now abandoned), and a natural mine. Both of these have gravel paths leading from my house. Once my house was completed, I dug a VERY LONG escape tunnel. This tunnel begins from the back of the room above the furnace room. It is 31 blocks below the surface, and 165 blocks long, torched every 5 blocks. Image 2 The escape tunnel rises the full 31 out of the ground, and leads to a location which I have named âOutpost Tower.â Image 3 Outpost Tower is on a small hill, and is about 14 blocks high (forgive me for forgetting to count). It overlooks a huge forest, which stretches as far as can be rendered from the top of the tower in three directions. Finally, we have the latest project in the world, my first actual castle. It is located back at home base, just across from the cliff (the first picture was taken from the gate of the castle). Image 4 The castle is a simple layout, with four guard towers and a Grand Hall. The total interior space is 580 blocks squared, with the Grand Hall making up 368 of that. It is 8 high with garrison walls.
World B Quick facts: *Castle on a manmade cliff over the waterfront. *Decorative lava moat in front of castle. *Small garden in the center. *One watchtower (height of 12), with garrison room and walls (height of 6). *Dungeon and Hell room. *Completely functioning Hellgate (ie, works when going to OR from Hell).
Detailed description: The original project for this world was to create a castle on a cliff, right over the water. This would create a highly defendable position, as attacks could only come from one direction, and you would (by definition) always have the high ground when defending this location. So, to start: THE MANMADE CLIFF. This cliff is 12,138 cubic blocks of solid dirt. Yes, I am serious. In actuality, I probably only placed about 10,000 (5/6) of these blocks, because the cliff is built slightly into a small hill. Still, that is an astronomical number. This project was accomplished over a period of 20 days (from initial idea to completion of the cliff). Image 1 Then the castle was placed on top of the cliff. Itâs total floor space is 291 blocks squared, not including the dungeon or garrison room in the watchtower. The castle is reached via a staircase which features lava flows down the sides. At the top of the stairs, these lava flows end in a nice decorative lava moat (estimated lava required for this was 20 buckets, 10 for each side). Image 2 Image 3 The castle has all wood floors, and has three rooms (one on each side and one under the watchtower). The entrance to the dungeon is from the room at the bottom of the watchtower. The rooms on the sides are used for furnaces and storage. At the center of the castle is a small garden, featuring about 20 flowers and a tree which was planted after the flagstones for the castle were laid. Image 4 The watchtower is 12 high, with the garrison room (5x5) and the walls themselves ending at 6. Finally, there is the dungeon, which was the latest addition to this castle. It begins with a 7 block staircase to the dungeon entrance room. Proceeding through the entrance room, there is a fork. Left leads to the torture room (5x5, processed stone walls and ceiling). Right leads further down. A 16 block drop down a [square] [circular] staircase leads to the Hellgate room (a 5x6x4 room). The room features solid obsidian walls and ceiling, and 4 obsidian leading to the gate itself (net total of 96 obsidian), with redstone floor (present throughout the dungeon). Image 5
Thanks anyone who read all of that. Hope you enjoyed.
