I do a fair amount of RPing - Bleach characters mostly. I've been Ulquiorra Schiffer, Shinji Hirako, Byakuya Kuchiki and Gin Ichimaru. It's a rather fun pass-time really and allows you to develop your own story-lines that, although outside canonical material, are still pretty awesome.
Physical role-play and improvisation acting is more fun and very boisterous (in my opinion).
It's actually quite the same, except the way you express it. In Physical you need to be able to show expressions through, well, expression, whereas with the writing, you need to describe everything. I'm not sure which one I'd prefer, but I only do the writing, since I have to play or talk in front of a mass.
For all those who are actually interested in roleplays, look forward to the new year~
How so? It can get your imagination going and get you thinking as if you were someone else.
This guy explains it well:
And it's very true, if people are not into the RP in question, they lose interest very quickly and the whole thing goes to hell. There are a few that survive, but unless you have an active community, they still go at a very slow pace.
I'd like to add that there are a number of things that can easily make an RP terrible, and can easily be caused by one person:
- Inability to speak English - God modding - THOSE GOD **** ASTERISKS - Trying to dryhump everything in sight
Nothing wrong with not having the best English skills, but if you type like a moron, you probably shouldn't be RPing with a lot of other people.
Aye. You can usually pick out the retarded speakings. You can see when people try their best posting a nice post, aswell as you can see when someone doesn't give a **** about the post, as long as it's posted.
