"Welcome to the world of the living! Can you move your finger together like this? Good! The operation was a complete success! Though you may have lost some short-term memory. Just in case, I will remind you what just happened.
You just signed a contract with my company, Trireme of Space. We are the leading company of space exploration and general ships. For whatever reason, money, adventure, the romance of the high (really high, I mind you!) seas, anything could have been your motivation!
One of the most important things I feel I must remind you of is how to drive a ship! Your ship moves and attacks in "turns" of about one hour (Note that this is one hour game time, not RL time), were you can either move, attack, land, mine, or whatever else you intend to do. *He then goes off for a few "turns" on things essential for your character, but useless to you*
Here some people start turning chicken, and turning back. Some people are afraid to go into space. Here I tell you: Don't be! We here at Trireme of Space care about our costumers! We have given you a starter balance of three clones, a 300 dollar value, yours absolutely free! You are currently in another free clone, your real body is protected in a bunker. Every time you go to sleep inside your ship, your ship will send information here so we can update your brain. Please note that if you are killed, everything that happened since the last "save" will be forgotten, as if it never happened. If you run out of clones, never fear! You can buy one at any time while you are in your ship for the low price of only a hundred dollars! How can you pass up a deal like that?
Don't worry about your ship being destroyed either, you have an insurance policy on it that covers just about everything. Every piece that you buy has an already added extra price to cover for insurance! Unless for whatever reason you decide to buy black market, then you must pay for a large, separate insurance in one of our offices.
Our offices are scattered, we have at least one on every civilized planet. While there, you can do anything you can do on your ship as well as repairing your ship and healing yourself.
For insurance against hostile alien species, you have been provided with a generic brand blaster. Please note that infantry combat is MUCH faster than space ship combat, the whole fight will end within a few minutes, so keep that in mind *cough when deciding what do do cough*
Ah I think I covered the basics. Good luck out there!"
As told to you by some company high-up wearing a white robe with golden leaves on his head, occasional smoking a cigar. You step out of a padded cell and look around. Well youd best get started!

I meant to put the * as well as explaining them after the character sheet, but I kind of deteriorate as I go along some times, and can't seem to wright properly after 11 at night...
The size is the thing that you choose to decide the others, you can do a generic answer like "Small, large, medium" or a more specific answer like "10x10, 30x30,100x100" etc.
The size of your ship effects how fast it goes, what weapons it starts with and can Cary, and how much damage it can take before going down. Ill do those after you choose your ship size, from a little scouter to a large cruiser.
Other wise your in. I am thinking of waiting for another person or two to get the game off to a competitive start, I am expecting everyone to make a large impact on the planets they visit. Anyone who joins in later will have to start on the same turn that everyone else is on at the moment of the joining. Wow, I am kind of off topic now. My mind wonders after 11 it seems as well.

There. To go more in depth, your cannons both do two damage each, with one on each side of your ship. The movement of two allows you to move two sectors, for example from Earth(0,0) to Space(2,0) or diagonally, downward to the negative, or whatever.
I assume I should put the full ship things for each size.
For small, you go 3 spaces a turn, your 2 guns do one damage each. After your shields go down, a single hit can knock you out of the sky.
For medium, you get what he got. 4 damage per turn, two movement.
For large, you get 1 movement per turn, your 2 guns do four each for a total of eight, and you can still fly until a good hit is delivered to your cockpit or any other necessary things.
And another thing (That is what I get for starting a plot so late at night...) your body still runs on Earth's 24 hour clock. But thanks to new technology, sleeping for one turn in your ship or any other proper bed for one turn has the effects of a whole night. If you do not rest, you suffer from decreased aim, strength, and general ability.
Well looks like it is time to begin then. The starting is pretty generic, so I will just write one that applies to both of you.
You exit the machine and are led threw a door. On the other side, there was a bored looking receptionist in the middle, a hallway right next to her, and two more hallways to both the left and right. The receptionist addresses you without looking up from her computer screen.
" To the right is the hospital and rest units. To your left is the general store. Straight ahead is the ship bay. Now will you hurry up and leave? You are in my reading light"
You think for a minute. You do have a little money on you, you could stand to go to the general store and re-gear. Or you could head straight to your ship and blast off immediately, without wasting a turn. The hospital may be useful in the future, but at the moment is quite useless.
