I have never had any eggnog. I want too though. I hear from some people that it's delicious. I might go to the store tomorrow and see if they sell any.
It's not something I'd set out get... just if it's there, and I'm bored with the taste of water, I'll have a glass. I've only had the non-alcoholic though.
people must remember that not all eggnog tastes the same, different brands taste different, some thicker and sweeter, some thin and watery. But i do indeed like certain brands of eggnog and they tend to be thicker than milk, kind of like a runny-ish fruit smoothy and they have an undescribable type of sweetness.
i never tried eggnog due to the word egg was in it and i hate eggs then someone tried telling me it doesnt taste like eggs so i might look it up and try it next christmas :S
After reading through this thread I must admit that I'd rather stick to tea although I'm intrigued by the way eggnog is described as 'sweet' - perhaps I will try it.
I personally think it's nasty. It's not anything to get your hopes up about, because your hopes will be let down. If you want some, best you "spike it" first.
Different brands have different tastes. Although I can't remember what brand I drunk recently, I actually like the taste. It is truly a unique flavor and probably an acquired taste.
I just had the thicker and sweeter kind. It taste much better then the one I drank yesterday. I prefer this one to most drinks.
I would recommend people to try the thicker kind. The thinner one was alright. But I wouldn't recommend that one. I would say most people wouldn't like it. J
I accidentally pressed submit before I could finish my post.
But let me continue it:
Just the taste of the thinner one wanted to make me vomit. The smell of it though was okay. It didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. From what some of my friends have told me it was suppose to be a putrid smell. But I didn't think that.
