I don't see any difference. Maybe you are explaining it wrong?
Tremorsense is useless if the creature isn't on the ground. All they would have to do to avoid it is hang onto something. And unless they're built for a specific campaign, characters that have a super-specialty never work well.
So Dibs, are we moving on? And Dragon, when will you start DMing again?
Hyper, don't get me wrong, he would be very proficient in combat, it's just that he would be able to do this as well. He would have a full BAB, fairly high AC, etc in addition to his reconnaissance abilities.

He would be a Ranger/Horizon Walker and the race wouldn't be necessary for any of what I listed.
Ugh, Horizon Walker. If you want the terrain bonuses, just use a variant Ranger, it's way better. And I still don't see how that helps with not getting snuck up on. Also,
I don't know if you were just talking about Grok there but almost all of those rely on race, unless you were planning on wasting your feats on them. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but yeahno....
Hyper, the Favored Environment isn't anywhere close to what Horizon Walker. Low-Light Vision and Scent are from Race. Darkvision, Tremorsense and Blindsense are from Class Abilities. Blindsight is from a Feat. True Seeing is from a Magic Item. Hyper, his is the second time in under a week that I have expressed a genuine interest in something and you've told me to give up on it using faulty premises and illogical assumptions.....
Is Earthsense from a 3e book? They may have changed the name during the change to 3.5
No, it be from a 3.5 book.

It seems more like anti recon to me.

Sure, Horizon Walker seems cool but not all that practical.

Let him have it, it's not wise to upset a Wuncler. Alright, good to be back. Sorry for not being here yesterday, but hay **** happens.
