How is that 'borderline'? I'd count it as a twisted form of Chaotic good.

Vigilantism is illegal. If it's not self-defense, it's assault and battery. You were already safe, so anything you do to them beyond saving yourself is attacking them.

Oh c'mon, if you get past the gory & deadly methods of Jigsaw, what he was doing was helping people change themselves when they can't do it alone.
