I agree. It would be nice to know which 'end of the world' hypothesis you don't believe, and lay out some for discussion. There have been 'end of the world' stories for as long as man has been able to imagine such things, and at least one or two of them are plausible.
Well, we know the world's gonna end some time, as the previous two posters have said - it'd be nice to know which 'end of the world' theories you don't believe. I can't really discuss a topic that's so vague. Erm... The world won't end in the next few years? Also, it depends on how you define 'end' - do you mean the end of the actual planet or the end of the human race?
