My favorite bands change kinda often. Depends on my moods I guess, but these are my current top 5 favorite bands! (In no particular order.)
1. Alice In Chains: One of my favorite grunge bands of all time. Although they say Nirvana is the "founder" of grunge, Alice In Chains surely had a ton of influence on the Seattle Sound.
2. Disturbed: Probably one of my favorite Nu-Metal bands to date. I like the hard beats and Dan Donnegan has some pretty beastly solos. They use some awesome electronics and effects too. It gives each song a different style so they don't get boring or seem repetitive.
3. Slipknot: Another great Nu-Metal band that is a little harder than Disturbed, but still just as awesome. Corey Taylor has a great vocal range and altogether the band has an awesome sound. Especially with all the percussion playing at once.
4. Metallica: One of my favorite original metal (If it's metal now, it's aluminum [soft metal].) bands (I guess you can consider it hard rock now) of all time. Kirk Hammett is one of my favorite guitarists and one of my greatest influences in playing guitar. He has some amazing solos and altogether the band has put out some pretty awesome songs that I never get tired of hearing. (Although some are overplayed.)
5. Tenacious D: Not a band I usually listen to, but since I just got done watching "The Pick Of Destiny" again, I figured it was worth listening to. They got some pretty funny songs and the movie was a great comedy.
I'm not gonna try and say that Paramore is a s***** band or anything, but they were a manufactured act. A record label created them in order to make money. I've lost all respect for Paramore as an act because of this.
Anyway, I've got a few more than 5: Fall Out Boy (Now that they broke up, I'm into Patrick Stump's new stuff.) Bayside Flobots Breaking Benjamin Motion City Soundtrack Hollywood Undead (Hopefully they don't suck now that Deuce is gone. Also Deuce's new stuff is good.) A Day to Remember Evans Blue Drake Mumford & Sons
