When you see the little trashcan to delete comments on your profile, there is a little box you can check. I checked 4-5 of the boxes and clicked on the trash but only the one I clicked the trash on got deleted. Do any of you know how that works??
Well i meant a website that revolves around chatting. A forum is the same thing as a chat only with a designated direction of comments. If websites like facebook, myspace and etc. don't have it i doubt this one will.
Actually mrtim, we also discourage "chatting" on profile comments. If you have more than a few messages back and forth, we recommend you take it to an instant message program or meebo.com or something.

and that is something that is pushing away people. just because this is a gaming site, doesn't mean we can't chat as well. if it was easier to chat with others on this site, it'd have a lot more members.

If it brings intelligent conversation/debate then I don't mind.
But if you just go on my profile saying. "What's up" "Hi" "How's it going" Or anything like that I'm just going to ignore and delete it.
the more the merrier. also, i don't even want to guess how many of those members are spammers, hackers or ghosts.
Most spammers if not all always get banned. Hackers of games? They get banned if reported. Ghosts.. most people just make accounts for games. You really won't know if they're a ghost or not unless there's a last login type thing implemented. If they had that feature then we could know who most ghost are. Something like that.
This account was originally for a game but I decided to get more involved in the forums.
You used to have to copy right click on the flag, click copy shorcut, then past it in your address bar, then where it said flag, change it to delete, then hit enter, then go to your controll panel, and update your profile.
Not sure if it's differnet now, but I have done it like that since the profiles got messed up.
To elaborate a little further, johnm, we try very hard to keep this site clean, safe, and enjoyable (there are very few websites that truly do this). To have that, you have to have certain rules. Sure, this might keep out a few folks, but more than likely, those folks would end up banned here anyways.

So is chatting on games like Exit Path also discouraged, even when comments don't last on pages anyway? Just wondering.
Hmm, I meant more like arranged chatting, but no matter. Anyway, I did see a little glitch or something; I went onto a friend's page and saw an option to delete comments on their page. That doesn't seem normal if I assume correctly...

Ah. That's an old glitch if I'm not wrong. It does show up from time to time. I think only Moderators/Administrators are the only ones suppose to use it. But if you press the trashcan button on other peoples' pages then it'll either go to the 404 page or it just doesn't do anything.
