I've never experienced it on Marathon or even care for the flags on that stage. I take the top flow path.

The "Flag Glitch" is when your character passes through a flagpole in the game, but your flag doesn't raise. If you happen to die after that, then you have to start from the beginning or an earlier point.

treadmilvania

It always happens to me there, I don't even complain about anymore. Just don't die .

That happened to me in Marathon like in August when I still used flags :P . But for the most part, paths have been developed to not even touch flags so then you don't have to worry about them glitching.

it depends on the path you are using. most people think the upper path is better but its not. both paths are the same because if you flow right both of them have the same distance from the finish. the glitch sometimes happens in the end before you get into the small "tunnel" with the spikes. most people usually dont die there but when the flag wont raise it makes me feel nervous and thats why it happens XD. oh and yeah it always happens in treadmilvania and i stopped complaining too XD

I didn't even care for Pain's video since it was just half.

Yes, we all know..
I remember, when you keep asking me: When are you going to make an UniPlayer Video, or saying that you have to practice this Paths now, after i uploaded it on Youtube.

Hmm. Lying is your specialty.

I asked you to make one for the newcomers of the game. I didn't care for your video one bit. I watched it once and it was no help so I didn't care for it. I already knew everything that was already in your video. Unless you have proof of me asking for it, then it doesn't matter. The only video that matters is Zero's video. Since he actually finished it. So now, stop the pathetic arguing.

No, Pain. You're the one lying here trying to argue about something senseless. Quit trying to pathetically troll the thread.

I know, blue. But if you do the bottom path over and over it gets repetitive. It's good to mix it up a bit.

I don't know what y'all are talking about, Middle Path is totally the best. :P

Hey! No arguing in the EP thread, I don't care who started it, let's coexist.

Side-Note Discussion Questions

Any news from beta anyone?

Any new paths that have recently been found?

Any new tricz?

I had to respond to that blatant lie. I don't like people that lie to boost the argument of others. Well then, that's over anyway.

I think that if you do the middle right then it's the same as the top and bottom. I've done it a few times and have beaten people that took the bottom path and top. They didn't mess up either.
Any news from beta anyone?

*goes to check e-mail* Nothing.
Any new paths that have recently been found?

I normally do what's fastest on each level. I don't play enough to know if it's a new path.
Any new tricz?

I don't do that anymore. The only tricks that I do are the double or triple jumps that put you in spots that look impossible to get too. I don't do the sticky stuff or the bouncer things.

on marathon it doesnt matter which path you make. the distance is the same and if you flow the whole time then the speed is the same too. the only thing that is left is the difficulty and that changes for every player

If I found a new faster path, I wouldn't be so willing to share it.

This is incorrect actually. I recall Zero mentioning why. He stated that the bottom path causes more lag than the top and middle paths do. I have found this to be true as well.

Depends on the computer, honestly. And I remember Zero, Cero and I in a room together a few months back and we were discussing the paths of Marathon then we asked Zero if he could do the bottom one and top one(marathon came up twice). Zero got 12.30 with the top and 12.60 with the bottom. So there is a slight difference in them and that time difference could've been lag. But who knows.

i tend to take the top path only because i find it easiet to navigate and get over the spikes without a roof over my players head

I've always liked doing the top path on marathon. I find it a bit faster because you're just flowing over everything. On the bottom path you have to worry about hitting that first spike and if you attempt to flow through that giant saw part, there's a bit chance you'll die. Top isn't very safe either, but it's safer. You don't have any flags up there, but you don't have to worry about that first spike killing you. Just keep tapping flow. On the saw part, it's easy to just go under it.
The last part can mess you up if you don't perform it right.

I found a glitch with front door, at the end of the lvl if u jump straight up frm the last spring. If u do it right u can finish in a weird place. (
