Have you ever left a habit behind? Or tried to leave one behind? Was it difficult? What was it? If you succeded in quitting whatever it was, how did you feel? How did you approach quitting? I felt I should make this thread as I recently quit drinking carbonated drinks (soft drinks, sugar drinks) and was suprised at how easy it was.
Well I, for one, was addicted to the internet. It's a herculean task to let go off a bad habit once you latch onto it. Luckily for me, I took more interest in my hobbies.
It was a small habit. The habit was to stop playing flash/video games so often. I've stopped playing video games about three-four months ago. Of course I will play them but not regularly. I have more important things to focus on like schoolwork.
how did you feel?
My eyes felt better.
How did you approach quitting?
I encouraged myself to quit by telling myself to do so.
Another thing that I quit is junk food(includes things of high levels of fat and sodas.) It wasn't difficult to quit eating/drinking things that can harm me in the long run. I've just limited myself. I'll probably drink a soda two or three times a month but I prefer to drink tea/water/juice.
I have left one bad habit behind, it was not so difficult as I expected. I quited of playing video games regularly. I felt the same as I was before but my eyes are better. I stopped playing them because it was boring to me, so I just quited. Other thing I quited was going to McDonald's every week. This habit was easy because now I eat ,more vegetables and fruits. I quited after having some stomach problems.
I'd say, at one point, a long time ago... I was addicted to this site. However, I don't know what exactly happened, but I lost touch with it after countless others and ...now, well now I'm sort of here and there. I wouldn't say it was hard not to quit, seeing as I never intended to... haha..
I quit playin a video game I used to go on every day for hours, it was hard but what stoped me was I lost $40 and hours on hours of work cause my account had got hacked so it made me relize that putting money into a video game was not the best idea and to use backups before getting seriously into something.
