How can you believe in what something as preposterous as your religion? What lead you to this conclusion? How can you justify Yahweh's ordered killings as well as his personal killings in the Bible alone, let alone all the killings that would be attributed to him?
Basic question: you said you are very religious, and that you believe in Jesus. What religion do you subscribe to, specifically? You never said that. Are you a Latter Day Saint? Jehovah's Witness? Catholic? Lutheran? Episcopalian? Just curious.
I accepted Christianity for most of my life, but the more I learned about the world, the less I believed.
That's the way it goes for a lot of atheists.
Tiger, pretty much the same questions as above. What makes Christianity any more believable then any of the other religions out there? You say the Christian God is the only way into Heaven, but we don't even know if either God or Heaven exists.
