I hate Twilight too. The series shows all the female insecurities and fear in only one character, Bella. And it creates a new style of vampire, the shining one (lolz) and the werewolves that need to take out their shirts every 5 minutes.

Could it be because this series is targeted at young teenage girls, who could relate to the insecurities of Bella, that the plot does not make sense with the regular type of vampires (hell, the actual type of vampires would need to be zombies either way), and that it, again, is targeted at females? So, unless you are a female, you have no reason to actually like this series in any way either way, and your hate would then be based on a strong bias of not being a teenage girl.
