This honestly for me is to hard to pick, it sometimes switches, but right now I would say techno cause I listen to it and just day dream for a long time :P
Alternative music, because it has a variety of different types of music and they use different cultural infulences to creata dn put into their music. I also like it because there are many great artist that come from that genre and it makes me listen to it more. I personally think they put more feeling into their work then other musicians. ALTERNATIVE
I have three favorite genres: Rock Alternative Techno
Most of the songs I listen to, especially any by Muse, I can think of at least one video game I play that i could make a montage out of for that song. Uprising (by Muse) could be matched with Half-Life 2, as could Resistance (also by Muse). Uprising is just the general theme, and Resistance would illustrate the bond between Alyx and Gordon.
Here's how I look at each genre: Techno music drives me. I will often find myself moving to the beat or even just working faster (not necessarily to the beat for that). Daft Punk would have to be my favorite Techno band. Some of their music has a point to it, and I always love music with a point (if that point is good).
Rock music, excluding the angsty rock that has been around lately, affects my emotions, more than anything else it does. This is especially true for songs that have a point or songs that I can relate with. Skillet is my favorite rock band. Most of their songs either have a point (like Hero) or are about something I can relate to (Monster being the one I most relate to).
Alternative music makes me think the most, especially anything by Muse. That brings me to my favorite band already. Muse is my favorite Alternative band. Some could argue that they're rock, but I think they're alternative. I have most of my cool ideas when I listen to Muse's music.
I like all music period! I don't really look at music by genre in what I like and don't, I just listen to the music, and if I like it, I like it. I have a monster list on my profile that consists of all major bands I listen to that I like. Take a look-see and tell me what you think. I will admit though, that about 60& of my collection is Rock/Pop, so I guess that would be my favorite genre, if I had to pick one. I could list specific examples, but that is why I put a list in my profile. I will say this though, I do not like rap, or any of the newer stuff that has been coming out, which I put in it's own genre, called EVERYTHING ELSE!
