My history teacher, a man named Paul Lewis his uncle was Jock Lewis who was along with Sir David Stirling co founder of the now world renowned SAS. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this to confirm it or if anyone has any comments they would like to make about the special forces in general.
Well this is pretty random but we do have a member on AG who is trainning with the Navy, Her name is Ichibill or something, Im not good at remembering names, but yeah she's gone for a few weeks.
Hmm, I looked this up and you got him mixed of with Jock Lewes, close names, you might have spelt it wrong. Anyway if you did just spell it wrong Jock Lewes was a founding member and principle trainer for the SAS. Sir David Stirling even said himself
"Jock could far more genuinely claim to be founder of the SAS than I."
So if it was a typo, then yes he was a co founder, and if it wasn't then a really close coincidence (and also your teacher lied) Though Lewis and Lewes (unless Lewes is pronounce Loose)is probobly pronounced the same way so I can see how you typoed.
In reply to SkullZero1 then yes it was a spelling mistake it is spelt Lewes and to Ichibon I'm interested because my brother is in the SAS and i want to learn more about it.
