Ok I am going to give you a basic walkthrough on how to do good at Frontier. So here it goes:
The game is pretty simple first you buy a mace and then chainmail armor. After that you keep buying and selling goods between cities until you have enough money saved up for a Vanguard. Once you buy a vangaurd, its good to take sick people on to your ship. After you get to town they will give you money. Then check your party tab, if the guy or guys you picked up have both 3 and 4 on both attack and defence then keep them, if not fire them. Now it donsent exactly matter which guild you join, its probably best to join the buccenears guild just because that one is easier. Oh and all the people you hire or pick up you should also equip them with a mace and chainmail armor. After you build up your wealth you should but a Claymore(sadly not the bomb but the sword) and mithryl armor and equip you party with it too. and i can not stress enough MAKE SURE THAT ALL MEMBERS OF YOU GROUP HAVE EITHER 3 OR 4 ATTACK AND DEFENCE WITH THE BEST ARMOR AND WEAPON!!!!. Oh and you can hire 1 person as many times as you want...all you have to do is click hire then click on a different tab then click back on tavern and you can hire the person again. Once all that is set then you want to attack the least populated city with the least technology. After that you should be able to take over the whole map. Im not sure what happens after that because i have been to lazy to actually do it because sometimes it dosent save.

Oh i finally became unlazy and beat the game. I was a buccenear guild and i beat the enforcers crazy weapon(you have to reach level 10 in a guild)It was pretty sick.
