So I was installing an update to Java when I found this in the license agreement:

Look under 3. Restrictions near the middle.

Why would you even bother reverse engineer it? You have nothing to gain from that. This makes no sense. Oh and definitely, every one's nuclear facility needs to update Java.

nuclear facility

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nuclear

Definition of NUCLEAR

1: of, relating to, or constituting a nucleus

Definition of NUCLEUS

1a: the small bright body in the head of a comet
b: the small brighter and denser portion of a galaxy
2: a central point, group, or mass about which gathering, concentration, or accretion takes place: as
a: a cellular organelle of eukaryotes that is essential to cell functions (as reproduction and protein synthesis), is composed of nucleoplasm and a nucleoprotein-rich network from which chromosomes and nucleoli arise, and is enclosed in a definite membrane â" see cell illustration

Examples of NUCLEUS

<a college campus that was a nucleus of opposition to the war>

____________________________________________________

Well the word could mean something like a small building that is an part of a group of more important larger building. The larger buildings being the nucleus and the smaller building being nuclear to it (if I'm using that correctly).

After reading it a second time though:

... not intended for use in design, construction, operation or maintenance of any nuclear facility.

That sounds like nuclear power plants etc. to me. Maybe they feel the software is not reliable enough to run such an operation and that they don't want to be held responsible for some sort of accident.

lol I can imagine someonegoing "I'M GONNA DECOMPILE JAVA!"
and then his friend is going "wait first check under the restrictions".
LOL on using java for a nuclear powerplant. I could imagine someone starting up a plant and right when he dose a giant sign lights up with a coffe cup and the words &quotowered by java" under it on the side of the power plant.

Sun Microsystems is the company that created Java. It was bought by Larry Ellison's Oracle a while back.
