This is usually quite personal information you would need to apply for in the best cases. It shows everything about you, at least from a certain point of view, and paired with how many people showcase their lives on the internet, it could prove to be a fatal mix of information. Especially when it comes to DNA, where, if it has been analysed as well, you would be able to sort out your future girl/boy friend from others with certain genetic diseases, bad history and so on. Basically you do not only get designer babies, you could also get a designer partner to the point where you know all flaws. The death of love and humanity(mistakes, experiences, all that makes humanity human).
Well, yes I do like libraries... but in some people's opinions, yes they think it's crap.
For Google, it's not major, I mean sure for some people, but it's just like a library where you find info on history, bio, and etc. For google, yes, but it's modern.

Generally that means they either have a crap local library, they live in the states (from what I have heard, the library systems there are so outdated it would make any modern librarian cry out tears of blood, but this might be wrong, I haven't seen one myself, I just know the websites are very much not what they should be), or they are very ignorant. That mostly goes for Google as well, considering it is one of the best ways for a - civilian to find information, as they don't have access to the good sites. However, Google is biased as hell, and without proper education on the matter of information searching, you will end up on wikipedia, writing your assignment.... This usually means that Google does not come to the full potential it has, and that the users does not actually find any proper information, because they are too lazy and lack the techniques to help themselves. /Rant

I can see why... Wikipedia doesn't have most truth info. If using Google too much in your life... it's not the answer it all of your problems...
People really don't have a whole lot of privacy nowadays, so every little bit counts. Maybe like famous dead people, but not everyday ordinary people, besides, why should other people be able to see personal medical records?
