i have noticed something, after being bored i tried many things like eating a brick, playing dead and making those star trek door noises every time someone opend a door.
so finally i started playing some old games i played legend of zelda, goldeneye, and star fox 64.
so i noticed that the difficulty has changed a lot. in those days you practically had to master the game to beat it and now a days you just have to be okay. anyone else notice this.

p.s. my tech teacher said this was the wimping of america and that if you want something done you do it right.

you are right. i just noticed that a few days ago. i never played any final fantasy games when i was little but i always heard they are so good. so i decided to play them all. i started with 8 and then i played both 9 and 7. i just finished 10-2 and 5. and i noticed that the older the game is the harder it was for me to beat it.

You're definitely right. I remember how amazing it felt when I completed my Donkey Kong game for SNES when I was a kid. The fact that I was young might've had something to do with it, but I think that a part of it was also that it had been hard to get there. Nowadays you just don't get the same feeling when you finish a game.

the thing is, now days they make games for money and money alone, they dont care about the consumer. in the old days they made games just to be fun and worth the money. so if you want more people to buy a game, make it easier so that more people will take the time to actually try it. and that is your answer!

I definitely still get that feeling, mostly when I play Metroid, Mario, Sly Cooper, or Zelda games.

I agree with all of you. The Mario games of now are not nearly as difficult as before. The BEST games i have ever played were on a disc i got from a friend. It was my Sega Game Pack disc. It had Shining Force, the first one which i would LOVE to find and play again, the original Sonic, a racing game, and a few others i can't remember. Those were the BEST games i had EVER played in my life.

Not all companies are like that. I will admit many of the larger ones are, but you will find that many of the smaller ones still try to make innovative and fun games.
