After playing "Hack Slash Crawl" I had to stop and ask myself, "Why is there no save feature." Now I have no idea if a save feature will happen in a version update or not, but do flash game developers spend large amounts of time (and possibly money) into games that are great, but then leave out one feature that severally hampers the game?
Same thing with "Frontline Defense 2". Great game, but it has balance issues. Why not release a version update and fix it?
Don't forget "Balloon Town" . It has such a horrible score, but it really had a lot of content. Why not fix the bugs and improve the game and re-release it?
Why do developers go through so much trouble to make a decent game and then not improve on it? Especially when the game has one or two glaring flaws that seem to be easily fixable.
Often it's because they run out of time. It seems that a lot of flash game developers work for someone now, whether it's AG themselves or MAX Games, etc. And they will almost certainly be sponsored with a set amount of money to use in development of the game. When that money runs out, it's release time.
Also it's often the case that they spend so much time and energy working on a game, they overlook a few things that the community picks up on, but have no desire or energy to go back and sort it out.
"My game's released, it's done. Move on to the next one." That kind of mentality.
Last Stand 2 is great. While I like that you have the option to take different routes, you seem to have to follow a pretty set path to get the weapons that allow you to live longer and actually beat the game.
