Where, in your opinion, are the most effective advertisements? Is it a banner on an internet website, an image at a bus stop, advertisements on TV, radio, etc?

In my opinion, it's on television, because it can be entertaining and make the product seem more enticing than it actually is, and it can be exposed to viewers in a much broader area than other forms of advertisement can reach.

i agree with u about the tv being the most effective...more ppl watch tv now than ever. Also as u said that can puff it up to more than it really is. Also they can show more thanks to more and more tv shows coming out and big events like the Super Bowl...which is cmonig up but i only know that thanks to talk of everyone, while myslef really dont care, yeah sue me, anyways, and other big events.

I think the previews before movies work pretty well.

But recently they've been advertising things other than movies.

When the previews advertised movies only, I think they were pretty effective. I think people enjoy watching the advertisements to movies better, and will therefore be more likely to watch another movie than other advertisements.

I would have to say television advertising is the most effective.

With all these commercials they persuade you with their products. . . Let me say something like hydroxycut. They have all the ripped dudes and sexy ladies on the show telling you how they've lost all that weight due to just taking the hydroxycut supplement. Some people would fall for that.

Also with all the paid programming shows at night. You know people are watching those.

Also with the bosley/hair club thing for people that want hair. Those people will be desperate for their hair back and with these persuasive tactics the commercials use people are going to get it.

Television advertising is the most effective out of all of them.

The only downside of this is that not everyone goes to watch the movies at the theater.

I would agree that television is the best place, although recently sites like Youtube have been now incorporating television ads, I feel as if television ads on the internet are more intrusive and more annoying than television ads on television.

I feel like internet though, however, is the place to expose an ad to the broadest amount of viewers. Internet in dial-up form (although very aged and slow) can be, and or is, free. So it doesn't take much money to get on the web as it does to get a television and cable access.

Well I feel like both television and the internet are th emost effective. Mostly because a lot of people watch TV and use the internet. However I feel like TV is more effective.

In television when people watch big events like the super bowl then people can advertise their products and many more people would see it.

In the internet there aren't many ads unless you're on huge sites like YouTube or Yahoo.

I would have to say the most effective advertising depends on the product or pretty much anything you want to be advertised.

Pretty much, TV is the most effective only because it has the most products that it can cover. Television can advertise products quite easily, as they can just slide it in between the shows. You can also beef up your advertisements forgive out a catchy jingle that they'll never forget. Unlike other forms of advertising, in which the determining factor is might depend on that one second split look, Television ads are repetitive, and you are forced to look at it, unless of course you pick another channel.

But as I have said, it depends on what you are selling, or what you want to advertise. For example, if you're going to advertise a website, the best idea will be to put a banner on a website, preferably with the same/almost the same idea as what the user browsing the site has.

i mostly say tv because if you hear it on the radio you cant see what they are talking about and if you see it on a billboard you cant see what it does but on tv you usally can see the product and know what it does so i think tv would be the most effective BUT if its something like a restraunt i would mostly say billboards or the internet so you can see various pictures of what foods they have and usually what they got on it

I can definitely say not interenet. When someone opens a page it is for the paqge content, not a 30 second ad that just pisses u off because u have to wait
