I'm not sure if this is common, but every few forum posts my armatar seems to change for no reason. It's not a big bug, but I'd like to get rid of it, so if anyone knows what the cause might be, please tell me.
What do you mean by change? Is it changing to a starry shield Armatar or just the different colored Armatars?
It could be something with your computer. I remember a while back I had troubles with my Armatar. I would have a blue shield then try to change it to a different Armatar and it wouldn't take. That isn't the same problem but when I cleared my cache it was just fine. Try doing that and see if the problem goes away.
