Activision just announced that guitar hero is probably finished. They might come back in 2012/2013, but it's probably done for good. I was a huge fan of the series. What are your thoughts about this?
i really dont care. no offence but i didnt like games like that at all. they had no story line... no real characters... it was just like typing on a keyboard for me.

Activision announced that Guitar Hero/DJ Hero is completely finished. I have no idea why they would do that. I've know Guitar Hero to be a great selling game. I think this is another bad move by Activision.

I like those types of games because they're fun and especially if you have a group of friends and no other game that has decent split screen.
do they not notice how much money they are getting out of it?
No, they don't. That's cause there isn't any money they're getting out if it.
What is slightly saddening is that DJ Hero is also done for...but on the other hand it's gonna completely degrade into stupid pop remixes so no big loss there.
But isn't it also hard to think of new things for guitar hero? People can think things like: "that's almost the same as the one before this". They probably stop because they don't get money out of it.
Maybe they should make the super guitar hero where you can upload your own music, or is there already one where you can do that?
The problem is the the music games flooded the market in 2010. 3-5 Guitar heroes, 3-4 Rock Bands, Countless new games. People just got overloaded and decided they just wanted to play games they already had and avoid buying new ones.
