lol, most people call me a nerd for this buutttt, DDO(dungeons and dragons online) its fun, its free and you get to kill stuff, what more could you ask for?
I've tried DDO too. The most interesting part about it is how you really need to use your brain, strategy, and later in the game, teamwork, to be successful. For example, the mana does not regenerate, so you cannot be too wasteful. However, there are some resting places where you can regen mana a limited time per dungeon.
To get past traps and open locked chests, you may need a rogue. There are also times when something else is needed, such as glyphs which require someone with a high intelligence.
If you want a good MMORPG which is not a cakewalk, you should at least give it a try.
DDO I have seen and looks very nice (and it's free). But if you are looking for an MMORTS then Age of Empires Online is coming out this year (the first half of this year, it is scheduled for).
It's a revitalization of the Age franchise that ended about 4 years ago. HOORAY!
