Hello, i am just reserving here a post, i am osan and i love making reviews and walkthroughs, and my first here in AG will be a full walkthrough and review, this is just reserved (i will edit this post when game is out)
i am thinking of puting images and strategies, plus suggestions and other thins, but if you want any (please not a video) specific thing just tell me and i will work on that
hey there. dont know game mechanics yet but i wonder if it was possible to make a gem calculator to see which gem adds which stat to an existing gem when combining them
Hey - I was going to look into it. Are you familiar with a lot of the strategies from GC0 like scoring 1 Trillion points? What's the most you've ever scored in GC0 (me - 2 Trillion, but that's 2 Trillion before wave 42, and that probably will never be broken).
"Hey Everyone, After we have solved all the technical problems working together with the fellows at Armor Games, and the playtesting is also done, we have agreed on setting the release date to February, the 17th. To those players who still believe that the game will be released, thanks for the supportive comments."
Ok, first of all, the game will be out 17, tomorrow. So you can check at the blog of their site, but i will make a little before-game review
Lots of amulets Stats page Kill counter
Gem target priorities: yeah, they will attack guys with least health or with more or first in row, you decide Amplifiers: give more stats to close towers (gems) It will be wayyyyy harder, but you can redo levels to get AGAIN the experience. This means that you can grind to get more exp. New graphics!: the game will be darker this timer
"In GC0, there were battle modes like Endurance or Sudden Death. In GCL, you can mix various settings, including number of monsters, number of waves (including endurance), giant monsters only or every sencond wave, or more monster armor. Each setting gives a multiplier to the final XP you get at the end of the stage (just like the battle amulets you earn). You can mix an easy mode and earn lots of battle amulets, play it hard and earn a few, or level up and boost your skills, then play a hard mode and still achieve tons of amulets." Says the blog
You can now see again the tutorial panels (if you clicked skip accidentaly)
"High contrast mode: For players with impaired vision, thereâs a new checkbox in the Options screen. Enabling it makes path tiles lighter, the ground and monsters darker, and shots get a dark outline to make them pop out of the background more." Says the blog
Now you can stop the time inside the game to make your strategy better.
Now, when you start waves early, you get a mana boost. 3D!: No, the game is not 3D, but the amulets page is!
Confirm retry/retreat: now before exiting there will ask you to confirm! no more horrible accidents!
NEW maps and battle settings!
New skill panel with 27 skills. New ways of moving it faster, also some unlimited skills.
WOW THINGS " Gem Anvil: To further ease the wrist pain, you can clone any of your gems. Drag it over the Anvil (the middle section of the gem creation/types panel), and release it.
Time freezing: Just 3 minor things to mention here: In the Options screen, you can select to automatically freeze the time when a stage starts, so you can prepare your defenses without losing any time. Itâs unchecked by default, because players new to the game might get confused by the game never starting.
What are clhallenge amuets, by the way: -They have a high requirement to meet -They are tied to a particular stage -They remember your best try, even if you have already acquired them." Diferent extracts from the blog
And now some moar images
Now you can build shrines!
"Juggling: Making a long path for the monsters to walk, and removing a wall at its beginning and closing the path at its end, forcing the monsters to go backwards, thus back and forth with repeated wall adding-removing, a.k.a. juggling, is an exciting, but too powerful trick. To avoid it breaking the game, there is a limit to how much of your own buildings you can demolish. The base limit is 3, and it can be upgraded with a skill to 13, giving you some juggling fun, and the possibility to reap a much higher XP from many stages, but you canât do it indefinitely." says it
airDecade...i think it is not includes and the crystal ball at the corner is to clone gems and to recycle gem bombs
People i am working on the LOOOOOOOONG walkthrough, a picture walkthrough, review, tips, strategies, stats, skills walkthrough of a game that takes day will take me 3 weeks to be posted here in armorgames (and 1 week in kongregate, because i can edit and change all easily, so when i have the last version i will put it here, with all correct and proven by others)
ok zophia, i am more of kongregate, so i wanted to edit...as i said first version of walkthrough will be on kong in one week, if i continue working 4-6 hours each day
so...what will it have
first version will have tips, strategies for specific maps, and pictures of the strategy in each of the 160 maps. other versions will include the best ways to do it, surely someone will give me new strategies, videos if someone give me, and other things
Take the discussion of the game, opinions and so on to the general discussion in the Flash game section instead. This is a walk through section, and unless you are going to comment on the walk through, add information, advices or anything else that could add to the walk through (strategies and so on), it should really be taken elsewhere. Thanks. Osan, when you are ready to post your walkthrough, you are welcome to make a new thread, and ask for this to be locked. That should give a better organization of the help.
Here you go kiddies...found this out earlier this morning by accident:
Unlimited Mana (will surely be patched soon):
Place a trap, put any gem in it, then place your cursor over the gem trap. Press "x" to get 70% of the gems worth, but there is a glitch...so the gem doesn't really disappear. You can hold "x" for as much mana as you want. I got the #4 XP score all-time in only a matter of hours.
