I don't get it, why do we call swear words bad? If we just think thier bad? If someone says a made up word is bad how do they know if the made up means that word/definition. Ex: The A word. People say the A word is to be stupid, but another definition of that word means donkey. So then that means when people call you the A word thier calling you a donkey and that's not bad because they are really smart animals, so it really doesn't make sense when your trying to diss someone when really your complimenting them by calling them smart. I just think they don't make sense so why use them? What do you think? Sources: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Are_donkeys_smart
Sometimes when you're angry, it really helps making you feel better swearing at him. It sure is better than beating the crap out of somebody:P
But people don't even know anymore what the official meaning is, it just slips out of their mouth, not knowing it could offend anybody.
Some swears do offend me. Here in holland they swear with cancer and my sister died of it. That can hurt to hear, especially when somebody you know and like says it.
Its just a word, but because of what happned, its now a bad word, because "the community banned those words" like god, those are the only ways i can fuel out my anger, but if i don't, well lets just say its not good and it will get messy.
A word isn't bad, its what it means and how it offends people
exactly, but then, why are those words bad in the first place, they don't sound bad, then why are they bad???
I tend to use the original meaning of said swear words when I use them.
Most others - I don't even bother using them.
Then making sense though, I can't say much on the subject. . They don't make sense to me. I'd rather just use the word that doesn't offend people instead of using the swear word and it'll possibly offend someone.
Also:
A word itself isn't bad, it's what it means and how it offends people. And I guess, to some extent, who uses it too.

I say, it's hard not to offend someone. I'm sure some people on this Earth would be offended by my very existence. Then again, I am well removed of those people.
I think people have become to used to hearing swear words and thinking of the worst possible difinition. I also don't think the word is the most offending part i think its what you mean by it. Because cursing somebody won't feel the same if its from somebody who can't go 3 minutes without cursing, then from someone who almost never curses.
If I said it in a bad way, I could probably get enough people to say it in a bad way that "root beer" would become a swear word. This is actually highly unlikely, so ignore the "robably" and replace it with a "ossibly". As in one-in-a-million possibly, but still possibly.
