I belive it would be a good idea if yuo earned AP in the fourm games section but not for every-post like the other topics (Exept Newbie topic) you get 1 AP for around 10 Posts? Now some of you may be thinking 1 AP for 10 posts but it is better than nothing and in the fourm games section you post alot. Now some of you may say: "It will increase the amount of spam." But if ArmorGames is alreday giving out AP for posting in the fourms would'nt it be the exact same amount as spam? Post your comment below about this suggestion.
Note: I'm placing 1000 AP that a mod of some kind will come and say why this idea is bad.
People spam in there a lot. . also Moderators would have to constantly keep up with the speed of the forum games.
It really wouldn't. On other forums there is basically no spam. There are some that do it, but it gets deleted quickly. However in the forum games those topics move too quickly and would be difficult to keep track of.
Also why not make the same thing with the Newcomers Forum? That GhostOfMatrix fellow goes in there quite a lot to answer questions.

I've got about 800AP. However, 60% of my posts are in Forum Games. I also see some people with 0AP, 0 posts because they only post in FG. I don't think that spam is too much of a problem. So yeah, all for it. Mainly because it benefits me...
I think that people should get posts for when they actually posts in the Newcomers forum and Forum games. . but if they decide to give AP or not I don't care that much for it. . I do see some constructive posts in FG, rarely though. I don't think people in FG care that much for points since they go there so frequently. . I used to go there a lot, but it's been getting a bit spammy lately in there and I don't want to be apart of that.
It should give you posts because it'll show that you are active. . however they might not want to do that since in that section if points do come from posting in there more mods are going to be needed to regulate that section. . they might not want that.

It is my home! Sort of. . I can't find many interesting topics on the other forums and I might as well just welcome/help people. . I visit some other forums on here and post in some topics that bring interest to me though - I'm mainly a lurker though in some of the forums.

Still though, those forum games that I frequent can get spammy and some of my favorites have gotten locked because of {insert insulting name here} spammed in there. . Also the Count to 100 has been locked.

@Thomas1st2: I don't think any Moderators are online at the moment. I've seen threads deserving of a lock in some forums and they've yet to be locked. It's either that or they're just laughing at this thread.

We would need "mini" mods just to lurk in the two sections (*has idea, power trips*).
I'm not in the forum games a lot so it wouldn't affect me either way but as other have pointed out it would take a lot of vigilance on the part of the mods. I prefer the way it is because I can get by with 3-6 word posts

Before the forum games forum was created, people used to put games on the Tavern - and it was all spammed sort of. Hence this is why Forum games came and it was 0 AP. I don't think we should change it back to what it used to be

No for awhile you did get AP for FG posts.
When was that? All I remember is that the forum games used to be packed into the Tavern unless they were mostly wiped clean. Sometime afterwards, the FG section was created.
I absolutely loath this idea. If you want this, you might as well patrol the FG section yourself. Heck, I wouldn't trust you to do that at all. Seeing how things have gone down in there, and looking back on the days when forum games used to be in the Tavern, I am definitely not wanting a return.
Not only are the Forum Games spammy, but they are also just games. You shouldn't really get points for it. Points are given to someone who contributes to the site, and only rarely will a contribution be made in the Forum Games section.
That said, you should get points in the Newcomers section. You help people understand the site better in one way or another. Seems helpful to me. :/

So you are using the past where there was no real mod supervision of the the FG's to justify why there shouldn't be mods on it now? If anything past performance (whichwas bad) should be an example of why there should be, not why not.

I was stating that I wouldn't enjoy opening the FG section to AP gain, that the OP might as well patrol the FG section himself to see how frustrating it gets over there due to spam and that past experiences further convince me that this idea is rubbish.
A better idea would be the newcomers section, because not many people take the time to greet someone. And the only spam I see there is by the newcomers who have a real excuse for it. But they'll be told, and educating new comers is worth AP in my opinion.

Actually it's mainly due to spam, as has been explained. Furthermore, once we go to AGv3 the points system will be completely changed. Not worth the time to recode the forums on THIS AG when the devs could be coding the NEW AG. So there.
