I don't think BFBC3 is out for a while, but the Battlefield franchise as a whole will definitely be a step ahead. One thing about DICE is that they're not dumb like what the makers of CoD seem to be. They made a spin-off series, Bad Company to test out destructible ground and furthermore they done it for consoles to avoid alienating the fanbase of BF on PC. What has Treyarch, Infinity Ward etc done as intelligent as that?

Cod makers are not dumb. They have millions of players wanting the same style, so that is what they continue. So what do they do? They continue doing it. They have no need to change, so they don't. The thing about DICE is that since they have lesser( although a lot) of players, they can risk to drastically change the formula.
Battlefield bad company is an alright game, but it still doesn't match up to the black ops multi player. I have spent days of my time playing it and zombies is so much fun. COD all the way.
