There's only a danger if they smell your blood, or something else like raw meat. Think there isn't a real danger. I would say more like 95% you would survive it. I would do it, though im 14 :P
Jeans? Underwater? Best way to drown, it'll get soaked and much heavier than normal; even when in the cage your moving capability is decreased. I don't know how bulletproof vests react to water, but I'd rather like having some kind of chainmail-coated diving suit. Plus a spear (no, not a speargun, a spear that I can use multiple times). Then I would do it, I don't think a shark would even attack as long as I have no wound. They do not attack for pleasure, and a cage is not typically what their prey looks like.
$30,000 free just to go down there with all that? Hell yeah! Sharks only attack people if they look like a seal, if they are bleedingor if they antagonize it.
