A few hundred years later, the creatures of Earth have begun to compete to fill the space. Whether sensible or farfetched, many creatures competed. Now, we know of three, so where the others went, I don't know...

i observe other animals near by i see that they are sniffing some leaves ( can i do this please?) i scare them off with a growl and take the leaves back to the camp and tell them to sniff them

You take the leaves back! The pack tries sniffing them, to no affect. They then try eating them, but the leaves are very hard to chew. Perhaps a way to consume the leaves without chewing them?
