As firetail_madness said, I would spend much of it on necessities and important things, and use the rest towards stuff I want or have wanted to do but it wasn't at the top of my agenda. More specifically, take most of it for school, get a Wii or something, and save the rest, since who knows how I'll need it?
It depends. Like if I robbed the money from a bank or murdered someone for this money.
Well, I would just spend it mostly on things that me and my family need. Get a new house, new cars, everything new, save some of it for my college fund, some for my little brother's college fund then just save what's left over in a bank account.

To answer the question: I'd purchase a house, a nice automobile, some furnishings and other necessities/desirables with $600k. I'd put 300k into savings and keep 100k as money to hold.
