I love Elvis presley. He had the #1 songs in the world for a long time. When I saw Merria Kerry had passed him I was so totally freaked out!!! He is called the King for a reason. People don't call Meria Kerry "the queen". I really don't care for Merria Kerry, either.
my thoughts are that is the worst butchering of her name I could possibly imagine.... Mariah Carey... Merria Kerry... well maybe it's 2 different people.
Other than that... the word "King" is way overused and thus quite diluted. He had good songs and great songs. Were they the best songs ever? No. His legend is brought on by what he did while singing (dancing) and the way he presented himself. Never mind the fact that he was a terrible guitar player. He did something that no other musicians would dare to do. Dance while singing. It simply wasn't allowed. In doing so he broke down the walls for every artist who got tired of playing a beat while not being able to move to it.
