The purpose of this post is very self explanatory I'm just making a poll to see what Rock Band is the most popular. Anyone may post their opinion on what their favorite band is. Regulations 1) Must be a real band 2) Has to be rock, punk rock, soft rock etc. 3) Band members must still be alive.
Did any of you who voted for Queen read the OP? It says that the band must have all members still alive, as to avoid an overload of bands like Queen and The Beatles. Same applies to Nirvana, Led Zeppelin (unfortunately), The Who (Even more unfortunately), and a few others.
My favorite band is Coheed & Cambria. I am a member of their street team and I do a GREAT amount of advertising for them. Speaking of, check out this song from their latest album, Year of the Black Rainbow: World of Lines

Who cares what the OP says? "The band members must still be alive" is the stupidest rule ever. Dead band members does not rule out a band from being great. If the TS didn't want to read "the Beatles" or "Led Zeppelin" in every post then he shouldn't have asked the question.

Operation Ivy, It's a ska core band (basically new wave hardcore punk) It did a lot of good for me Led me to learn other bands i love but I cant name in this thread because I am limited :P
