Hey Everyone in the community! I Just wanted to post this up so yall would know. If anyone needs help or has questions about strength training, working out, lifting weights, proteins and supplements please by all means feel free to post me a message or post here I would be glad to help.
I have been working out for 3 years now, Since I was 13. When I became 15 I hit the weights hard and started drinking protein. I am in a wrestling team for my school and I work hard in the weight room. Im still fat though, Im planning on burning body fat this summer, right now im concentrating on toning up my muscles. Little bit about what I do !
You know protein drinks does not help right? If you want to burn fat just do sprints every other day for 15 min. Don't wait for summer, just do it. And Josh, your a bloody moron, don't post that crap.
This thread is going no where fast. Which is sad, because I believe it had potential to be a great help and discussion to the serious. Any how, I agree, sprinting is good for burning fat. You just have to stick to it and start right away- See if I can't get it headed in the right direction...
If I lift weights under the age of 16-18, will my grow-up be unbalanced? This is a thing that I heard from my cousin, he's a bodybuilder, 21 years old.
How many hours a week do you recomend I do this? I usually just do it 3 hours a day.
Well If you are on point every week with working out then you should try working out from an hour and a half to 2 and a half hours. I've found out that if you go into the gym for just less then an hour then you get basically no results. I would recommend to workout like Monday Wednesday and friday like me and for 2 and a half hours. Then again thats me. I'm sure you get the point?

I jog at a steady pace nonstop for about 50-60 Minutes. In pre-season we sprint and do 40 meter repeats. I don't run in school months because I don't have time for it and Im too lazy.

NO! If you lift heavy weights beyond muscle potential you will definitely be messed up in growth. How old are you if i may ask? If you are 14 or 15 you can go ahead and start lifting small amount of weights, but you can do a couple more reps. For example if you do bench press then bench a weight that you can do 15 reps or so. If you can't do 5 reps don't do it. If you have more questions go ahead man!

Protein does help because Ever since I started drinking it, in the beginning of this year I have never been sore again. I do intense workouts because of my wrestling and such. I have seen myself since the beginning of the year and now I look way different. Little more toned and lean. I might post before and after picks about it. Then in the summer post before and after picks of 2 months.
I has question. Doesn't doing constant, productive work around the house, having a job, bulding, fixing, cooking, cleaning etc.. bulid fitness and strength far better? It really does because you are doing constant work, not just an hour of lifting something and putting it down again repetetivley. The amount of muscle/fitness you build at a gym can be easily attained through practical means.

Well if you think about it no. Thats your daily activities. To get results you have to go far and beyond. You get what I'm saying?
What wrestling team? Ok all you have to do to lose weight is whenever your sitting around just twitch your leg up and down. Of course thats not going to do it all by itself but it will definitley help. And Im mad lazy and all I do is sit on the computer, watch tv,play xbox, sleep, and eat. And I weigh 115 pounds and im 15. I dont starve myself.I just move my legs when im sitting. And for fifteen minutes do crunches and run around doing what I want to do. Theres barely any workout involved.

Cypress-Spring panthers wrestling team. Not the best in the world but they are my brothers and we have become great friends.
You have a really good metabolism I guess. Mine sucks, Im a big boy because of my parents make up, my mom is (big butt and perfect women, my dad is a lean cut dude). so together Im a..lean,cut,big butt, guy haha!
AND YES! Twitching and making constant movements like moving your feet and such do help in a way. You do burn calories from it, I have read it before somewhere.

Yeesss, but what i'm saying is that you could do more housework etc which would help you/your family out big time and give you the activity you need. As in renovating rooms or the whole house sort of thing, not kiddie chores. Help pay bills by getting a job (by which I mean a job that keeps you phisically active, or that would defeat my argument) ya know? I'm not 'against' working out, I just think that there is always better alternatives.
Think of it like this, back in the time of hunter gatherers, the best sprinters could catch up to whatever they were hunting and kill it immediately. Thus feeding some of the village. A marathon runner however, could follow the beast to the rest of the herd/group thus feeding the village for many years.
=ing that sprinters aren't as needed as those that get the bigger, more practical picture. Which means that being a lot helpfull is better than being a little.
I work out though daily. i have a six pack and decent pecks i need to work on broadening my shoulders though. i don't like using machines too much i just like push-ups, crunches, v-ups, and other non-machine exercizes

No, the two type of work being done are different. When you run or lift a very light weight (like a broom or boxes that only weigh a kilogram or so) over an extended period of time the body uses predominately the slow twitch muscle fibers. When you lift heavy weight (like lifting 25 kilogram weights in the gym) the body uses fast twitch muscle fibers.
The difference between the two groups of muscles is this:
Slow twitch fibers contract for long periods of time but with little force while fast twitch fibers contract quickly and powerfully but fatigue very rapidly.
Muscle isn't built in the gym itself. It's afterward when the body repairs itself that the muscle is built. Lifting weights at the gym causes micro-tears in the muscles. The body then repairs these micro-tears which causes the muscle growth. This is why your diet and protein intake are key in muscle building. You need to eat enough protein every day to maintain your muscles mass and for muscle growth. There is also a key time, within about an hour after a workout, when you should intake a certain amount of protein.
Working around the house might make you lose a little weight and become a little more tone. If you run a lot your legs might become a little tone and you might lose some weight, but if you really want to build muscle and be lean and healthy you are going to need to do aerobic exercise, weight training, and intake the proper nutrition.
it's true that if you gain muscle before 16 you'll be short, like a gymnast. but i mean MUSCLE
No man, you can have muscle.. Just don't overdue it. Or take steroids. For shoulders you can do Seated Dumbell press, you sit and have a pair of Dumbells and put them by your ear, they have to be aligned with your shoulders, then you just move them up and down. You can also do pull ups, that also works your back and shoulders.
