Hi i have heard a rumor about that you can change your username in ag3. Is this true? And also if it is true won't people steal your username or is that impossible.
can this change be free or whatever i hate sites that make you pay to change your ID
We'll never charge money for that sort of thing, but we might require that you've been a user for a while, or have a certain Reputation level or rank or something. And we'll restrict how many times you can change it, maybe like once every 3-4 months or something.
with the swear words in the username couldn't you have a something where you could send your name to an admin for review or something along those line
Well, there are very VERY few cases where we should allow a censored word. This user obviously has a valid name but the Japanese name just happens to include a censored word. The problem is that we don't want to overload all of our moderators/admins just looking at new usernames.
say you want to use assassination your making your name and the system blocks you, but it gives you the option to submit your name in for review

No, adding/removing numbers would be considered an entirely new username.

Yes, but AG3 will no longer allow the "underscore bug" to continue. For example, all of these URLs currently get to my profile:
Will Usernames be allowed to be copied just Spelt differently.
As long as no two usernames are spelled the same, this should be allowed. For example, there is a user called ArmorGames, but there is also a user called ArrnorGames. The two usernames are very similar, but since the spellings are different, this is allowed.
i'm fine with the idea of changing usernames, its also a good way to protect your account so people can't even tell your username or your password.
But i'm a frequent user of a game where you can change your name, i changed mine to a epic ducky47 then someone made and account called epic ducky40 and went around annoying people and now everyone hates me, i would hate that to happen to anyone else.

Then you should be careful about username changes.
brp47, that's more of a user issue than a technology issue though. Someone copying your username or making a similar username for the most part is out of anyone's control. Heck if your real name was John Smith, nothing stops me from going to a court, legally changing my name to John Smith, and then doing all kinds of crappy stuff.
I'm looking forward to the name change. & brp47, i'd thought of that too, trolls taking a similar name and pretending to be you. I can see it causing a slight problem in the forums for a milisecond, but as soon as a person clicks on your profile they'll know it's you - even if the person copies your profile (Which when reported will be warned/banned), your history, points, reputation etc should be able to back you up.
The limited time-span is a great idea too though :]
NO NO NO! NO changing your Username. Please don't include this. That means that if you change your username, someone else can't have that username! Other players would be stuck with names with numbers!!!
