i have boath and an 22cal rifle. and it does depend on what u r using them for. me and my frends have wars with airsoft guns but its no fun unless u have more than 4 people. pellet guns are good for small game but thats about it. my favorite is the 22. i target shoot with it and hunt with it pluss its a reel gun.
Don't bother with a pellet gun if you're older than 10, most of them are quite lackluster. As for airsoft, unless you have a big group of friends with airsoft guns, and are all up for wars somewhat regularly, an airsoft gun can end up a waste of money. Fun every now and again, but not really worth it.
Pellet gun: Don't bother. Airsoft gun: Check with friends/relatives/etc.
