I really like the game rebuild and i would strongly like a rebuild 2 and some of the things i would like in it would be more research projects, more interaction in battles, some new building types, and other civilization you can interact with, please tell what you do and do not want in rebuild 2
I'd rather disagree about having "mini-games" within the game because if you look at another game of very similar nature--Spitfire 1940--you don't get to do anything yourself and the outcome is varied day-by-day.
These types of games are solely "management" based games that requires little or no interaction on a player's personal experience level and is rather made to be a simulation category type of game that gives predictable satisfaction based on how well you managed the group of people without the input directly from yourself and thus it has that added "randomness" factor to it that make the game attractive because you never know if you successfully defended the fort or not. Though I would like to see no real change except for expanded map and more upgrades if there is a second one in this series.
A wider range of buildings such as a hardware store or a scrap yard which offer benefits. Being able to scav manually and the ability to purchase weapons and equipment for your men and bigger maps.
Sadly, this is exactly why strategy games are utter crap nowadays. Which is of course not the case of Rebuild because it is a perfect strategy game.
Strategy games are not action games. You need to think your way thru, not plow it. If you want yet another zombie action game then fine... But please leave Rebuild well alone. It is already perfect.
What would be nice in a sequel is more details. Like more buildings, more research... A campaign in which you try to liberate a whole country or take it over the cultists who opened the portal sound great too.
Just got to first say i LOVE this game there is not many games out there that tick all the boxes for me but this was one of them.
Oh and also i know this is my first post so my opinion on this site carry's no weight but i thought this game was worth posting for
The concept is great, like normal zombie apocalypse games itâs based on survival but with a great twist instead of running around shooting everything that moves Rambo style which I am sure thatâs how everyone will react, you are playing a leader managing the survivors which seems a bit more realistic to me trying to create and hang on a civil structure which is what human civilization is based on
I have put a small list together of things I liked and things I might improve if I was making a second rebuild
Things I loved:
The fact that itâs a managing game for the players who enjoy strategy games I donât know of any game out there that is like this. Basic but amusing graphics this doesnât need to be fancy it gives it character also keeps it from being too bloody for young players Multiple endings must games have one ending thatâs it with this game you get the choice to how you want to finish it Multiple choice in game where you have to choose between starving your people, recruiting more, expanding you city or protecting the walls ect. Hordes made the game more challenging especially on the high levels of difficulty each horde attack meant almost wipe out
Improvement:
I think the game is almost spot on in all aspects just improving is all that is needed maybe more options such as - Resources - collection of resources (wood, stone metal ect.) making it more realistic for expanding your base, improving your buildings, making traps, improving weapons ect. Buildingâs â" there can be so much more choices on the buildings such as pharmacist, garageâs, army barracks, prison, bunkers, public buildingâs, movie theatre ect. oh and upgrades more options Zombie attacks - not necessarily a mini game but something to help tilt the odds with a +/- and taking out the silly out comes when you have 30 experienced soldiers on your walls 3% chance of the zombies getting in and you lose the fight and a whole block of land just have someone bitten this makes more sense to me! Experience - give the people experience so some are better than others so they can build quicker or kill quicker, they can gain experience through training in the schools or actually doing the job, also multiple jobs for one person its survival everyone chips in and this also makes it harder for you when you have someone cross trained and loads of experience and they get bitten! Jobs - I think that maybe they could have some more jobs such as chefs to give bonuses to happiness military leaders to give bonuses to zombie attacks, doctors for the injured, mechanics & engineers to keep up maintenance all sorts can be done Multiple Sites â" maybe a campaign or multiple sites such as different cities or maybe different environments. Research â" I think having some more things to research would be great or even re-discover like what is already in the game, also using research for better guns, equipment ect. to improve the odds
Well to be honest the list goes on so I am not going to right too much these were just some of the main points that came to my head but I have sent a list to Sarah the creator of rebuild, oh and one last thing well done Sarah I think you came up with a great concept and I look forward to the second game regardless of what changes are made as Iâm sure it will be as great as the first
Oh one last idea what about another game (Destroy) where you manage the Zombies!!!!
