When get credits, put it on weapons and acrobatics. Then your weapons will be better and you will be able to jump higher, that means it will be easy to avoid zippers. I got my weapons to the maximum and I kill a lot of them in few seconds.
If you have some flying minions they certainly will help you because they can go and shoot through the ground like zippers. You must jump to escape them but i never lose health points when i touched them.
